Mike Robertson

Mike Robertson worked as news director at various news radio stations in the Southeast for more than 17 years. Prior to joining the College’s Office of Media Relations. in 2001, he worked for several years as a public information director for the South Carolina Office of Ocean and Coastal Resource Management (OCRM).

Melissa Whetzel

Melissa Whetzel worked as a television news reporter at three different stations in Harrisonburg, Virginia; Bristol, Tennessee/Virginia and here in Charleston, South Carolin. Prior to joining the College's Office of Media Relations in 2007, she handled marketing and public relations for several non-profits.

Tim Fennell
Director of Television and Video Production

Tim Fennell has worked at the College for more than 21 years and specializes in promotional and documentary productions. Prior to joining the College, Tim has worked in television news and owned his own production company. He also teaches TV production and documentary production as an adjunct professor with the communication department.
Michael Heagerty
Multimedia Consultant

Over the past 10 years, Michael Heagerty has worked in a number of creative capacities for the College of Charleston, his alma mater. Currently, he primarily produces short web-based videos and is the College’s YouTube expert. He previously worked at the Medical University of South Carolina as a computer lab technician and an information resource specialist.

Dave Brown

Dave Stewart Brown produces video projects for the College of Charleston. He studied English and Studio Art in college and has worked as an editor, videographer, illustrator and animator in broadcast television. He also teaches the free Multimedia Workshop series at the College of Charleston (blogs.cofc.edu/multimediaworkshop).
